Landscaping
Hedge Trimming
Before checking the hedge cutters to ensure safe working, protective head gear MUST be worn with safety goggles and ear defenders along with protective clothing. Prior to a site specific job, the site will be assessed for height of hedges, type of shrubs being cut/pruned and type of hedge cutter required to carry out the works. If the hedges are over a height of 2.4m then height aids will be required, therefore extra members of staff should be present to ensure the operative and lifting equipment are secure and safe at all times.
Strimming
All protective clothing to be worn before work commences. The equipment is to be checked over thoroughly and made sure it is safe and in good working order. Prior to a site specific job, an assessed will be made to calculate the area to be strimmed. An assessment will also determine an hazards such as steep banks, lots of stones/debris.
The correct equipment is utilised to colmplete the works, ie: for long grass use twine, for thick weeds use brush cutter disc, for shrub land use 3 pronged blade. Once assessment completed works can commence.
Mowing
All protective clothing to be worn before work commences. The equipment is to be checked over thoroughly and made sure it is safe and in good working order. A quick assessment will be made in order to determine an hazards such as steep banks, lots of stones/debris, to prevent damage to lawn mower. Once assessment carried out satisfactorily works can commence.
